Current production not up to par

The Xikar cutters were originally made in Germany and were exceptional. Current production from Taiwan leaves much to be desired. After purchase found the machining of the center hole is not accurate (Not a perfect circle, hills and valleys on edge) and one blade binds slightly (does not open all the way). I examined several others and found poor manufacturing to greater or lesser degree. Suggest you buy from a merchant which will accept returns if you do not examine prior to purchase.

Beautiful cigar cutter and excellent quality. Would buy again!

The design may not appeal to those who prefer a more minimalist look

Sometimes I wonder if I just have really bad luck with "good" products. The locking button on my cutter was bent, looks to be installed incorrectly. It''s angled so much that one side of the button almost drags the frame. Will be returning for exchange. Cuts amazing, this is purely aesthetic - but for a $55 cutter....come on??
