Update: I've only been mowing for 2 months and one has already failed. I bought these for the front hubs of my lawnmower. They seem pretty smooth, but I remove the inner seals because the hubs have grease fittings. I was impressed by how easily the seals came off and how little grease got into them. I have a feeling they will snap the first time you try to lube their outer seals. I would recommend leaving both seals in place and only replacing them every two years rather than lubricating them…

I have ordered literally hundreds of these and they have all been good except for the last batch which had red dust caps instead of black and was almost useless on most rods. The blacks have enough clearance to handle a wide range of common shaft tolerances, but the reds are .625" and won't fit even the least oversized shafts. Common problem with old high-mileage lawnmowers. The rear wheel bearings were badly worn and the mower was not moving properly. New wheels are about $20 each and usually have the cheapest bearings, so I decided to swap out the bearings. The rubber tires were worn out, but that didn't help with the push mower. On a self-propelled lawnmower, it may make sense to swap out the drive wheels if you have little to no stepping surface. I would still replace the bearings with these. I used a brass drift
