I bought this cable from an aftermarket to charge my Garmin Nuvi 67L. It has been declared compatible. When I connected it to the device it said the cable can't be used for charging and I need to use the original cable (which I lost). Don't buy a cable if you're looking for a replacement. It is not compatible.

I bought this for car use as the only charger I had was cumbersome for the cigarette lighter which meant I didn't could charge something else. This puts a load on Garmin, but doesn't use it to update maps. I went to garmin.com and chatted with someone there and they sent me a data cable for FREE! (true, it may take 3-6 days, but who cares! It's FREE!)

These cables actually allow data transfer from my 650 and 680. They will also charge them, albeit very slowly. About 5 hours from the 2A adapter. They will NOT let you activate and use GPS while connected. Just be aware that if you want to use them to power GPS in a car, for example, they won't do it no matter what 12V USB adapter you have.

We have two Garmin GPS products and of course we lost both chargers. Both needed sleep upgrades and after looking around for chargers we decided to buy them. This charger worked perfectly. Both GPS devices updated in no time!

I bought a used Garmin Nuvi and had a couple of USB cables lying around that worked for charging other devices and reading hard drives but for some reason not with Garmin worked . As soon as I plugged in the new cable, the device recognized it immediately. Cute!

This product has been difficult to find but is a good product at a reasonable price making it good value for money. So far, downloading the Garmin update has been reliable. I will buy from this supplier again. You are bookmarked!

I ordered this to update my Garmin Nuvi 2597 and Nuvi 2797 GPS. Garmin gave me error messages saying I had to use the USB that came with the GPS and it wasn't working with that GPS. So if you're ordering this for your Garmin, be aware that it probably won't work for this app. But it works on my cell phone
