XSCORPION CB300L Circuit Breaker Indicator Review

Seems to be what I need. I haven't tested it under load yet, if I do I'll edit it. Not 5 stars because for a 300A current rating you need to use at least 2 #2ga wires or 2/0 wires. The tabs on this switch are not large enough to easily accept connections on #2 or 1/0 or 2/0 wire. This worries me about huge voltage loss and/or side-to-side heating under load.

Okay so I was a bit worried reading some reviews, I've been bench testing this for a while and either got a good one or. and you know. Excellent holds 12v 275 amps draws 1500w. Will trip at 298 amps every time. At 24V it's about 2/3 of that. However, I did not buy for 24V. It doesn't get hotter than the cable itself, around 110f at 298 amps 1500v. Pretty good. Updated 12/08/15 Since my initial check it has kept the find at 24 volts by drawing 100 amps of DC. I downgraded it to two stars because it now only holds 40 amps and works instead of charging 80 amps while going through a 24 volt DC charge. The device felt very hot. I'm pulling this guy out and about to order a 200 amp Blue Sea Systems 187 series surface mount switch. Its specs seem heavier, and here at Amazon it has a 5-star rating with rave reviews.
