I don't trust them - Paint additives

on Revain was written for oil paints as I read the description. When I received the product there was no mention of using a latex and acrylic based oil. Tried it on oil paint - zero success so far. When I asked about it online, I got no response. Last time I bought from them.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No machine

Works perfectly! on paint and primer

I had several large 5 gallon buckets of paint that were almost full and were never used again. Mixing into Rock Solid was easy with a drill bit and in about 15 minutes it was set and ready to pick up. To ensure the paint meets all environmental requirements I taped an empty hard pouch to each cap.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some problems

Works but Expensive - Paint, Wall Treatments and Accessories

Solid C. It 'works' but you need a lot of product and it gets expensive. Quickly. If you have a bunch of old paint that needs to be thrown away, it's easier and cheaper to bring it in than to use it and throw it in the trash. Plus, it saves you from the hassle of bending your wrist while stirring the product. If you've hidden a half-full glass or two from yesterday... that's good enough.

Works as advertised

Doesn't specify how much product to use per use so start with about a cup per gallon and stir for a few minutes. You'll probably need to add more to make it stiffer. Works pretty well. Then I spread out a few sheets of newspaper and pour it out. Then it looks like a crumbly dough. This way it gets more air and hardens faster. I managed to throw it away in 15-20 minutes.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Safety

Works great - paint and primer

We bought a house with 5 large 5 gallon cans of paint in the basement half full. Turns out they've been there since it was built 15 years ago. This product is no joke. It works. It cures more than the stated amount, at least for me. I added some bags of leaves and wood shavings I had in the garage to my pants for extra padding. Not sure if this helped or not but it seems to have worked fine. Two spikes, have a big stick for stirring. I used wood from a woodpile that I could just leave in aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Nothing here
