I connected it to pioneer vsx-818v, I transmit sound via optics via AirPort Express, you can listen from iPhone, iPad, Mac (airplay). Now playing in tandem with Denon PMA-720AE, (acoustic cable Chord Clearway Speaker Cable) the sound is heaven and earth compared to the AV receiver and cheap cable, deep bass appeared, treble - midrange became even more detailed, cleaner.

Ideal speakers for a room no larger than 23 meters. I use it with a Denon 720 amplifier. The sound is just on top! I'm not a professional, but I'm very closely connected with music and I can say that I just don't understand who writes negative reviews. Take it, you won't regret it! It is a fact! I myself had doubts before buying and thought to take 777 and much more, but I think that for a standard apartment this is just an ideal option!

Receiver 130 watts per channel at a level close to the maximum HF burned 3 times. 2 times changed under warranty, the 3rd had to be bought in the service for ~ ~ 1500r. When, in the 3rd non-warranty case, they returned the burnt tweeter to me with the new one installed, when disassembling the speaker, a burnout was discovered with the naked eye at the point of contact of the magnetic coil with the output terminals. The problem was solved by heating the soldering iron and a drop of solder…

I use it in conjunction with Yamaha RX-V373 and Apple TV. music from i-devices through airplay plays perfectly in 2.0 mode; several times I received complaints from neighbors at a minimum volume, and this was with brick walls. after the purchase, according to the recommendations, I let it swing at a low volume for several weeks, therefore, after a year of use, problems with them, such as the failure of the tweeters, did not concern me. happy with the purchase.

I use it in conjunction with the Yamaha A-S300 amplifier, the sound quality is just on top. I agree that it can be much better, but not for that kind of money! The only drawback for me is the rear location of the phase inverters. This, of course, is not a drawback, but with the small dimensions of the apartment it eats up space, since it is no longer possible to put it against the wall. The rest is happy as an elephant! p. If you're an audiophile, you won't be reading this. But for avid music lovers, not burdened with extra amounts, this acoustics is just right. This is an entry-level hi-fi, you should not expect miracles from these speakers, but they work out the money spent with a vengeance, both in sound and appearance. No wonder they have not been taken out of production for so many years and the demand for them does not fall.

I use the speakers with the Sony 790 AV receiver. And so far only in stereo. I want to note that the absence of a subwoofer and other speakers is not annoying. The room is 26 sq. meters, when watching a movie, I just enjoy the plot and staging, and the speakers contribute 200% to this, or rather, I am completely passionate about the film, but I don’t pay attention to the Yamaha NS-555. There is simply no reason to pay attention. The sound is what it should be! Acoustics SUPER.
