Should the pressure be ok, time will tell?

I've actually had leaks in my cases after a recent overhaul so I've read a lot of reviews and #4 should be the right material? Went on smoothly, didn't take long and cleaning was as easy as a rag! I was concerned about the setting time which is an hour and it took me about 45 minutes to set so I'm hoping it cures properly. Only time can tell?

Pros
  • Gasket
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Must be good stuff.

. As far as I know it is made by Three Bond and also sold under the Honda brand. Continuing with a brush. Dries to a gum-free consistency compared to the more popular RTV. Adheres very well to clean surfaces. I used it on my engine which was rebuilt to oil pan (with gasket), water pump block (without gasket) and thermostat housing (without gasket) with no leakage.

Pros
  • Automobile
Cons
  • Obsolete model

So far, so good. suitable for car detailing

I used Yamabond on two valve covers on the Kohler engine on my Craftsmen GT6000 garden tractor. It's had several hours of mowing and other spring work and is still tight. It was easy to open and use. Also, I like the fact that the cap tries to seal the open tube, potentially allowing the sealant to stay tacky longer. However, I hope I never have to use it again. :-)
