Slippery plastic parts don't stand up to measurement, making it almost impossible to go from one proportion to another with precision. Two sharp sticks and a rubber band will also work. Now I have to buy a more expensive and efficient design.

This is a good enough product, just wish it came with instructions. It also doesn't have labels for proportions, which means you'll have to guess using an image in the product description. Not very helpful.

Interesting little thing. Not exactly 10" but 25cm long. Made of plastic. Pretty light weight, with a plastic pin that snaps into the holder to adjust the pattern size. Comes in its own zipped storage pouch along with 2 extra pens and holders in a tiny storage pouch in case one wears out with use Should work fine I like it.

Unfortunately it won't stay where you measured it once you move unless you have a third hand to hold it. I paint portraits. A small change makes a big difference. It won't last either. It's not very strong. I would like it in metal. I also wish it had a way to track the measurement between uses. That little plastic nail won't hold. Because a third hand would be nice.

This is an inexpensive divider for occasional use. They are made of semi-rigid plastic with three pivots and clips. Separators must be used carefully, since the lack of friction makes it easy to change the position of the levers. (I put a piece of tape between the legs to avoid accidental changes.) I use them with one hand and often have to check to see if the measurement changes as I transfer. I would only recommend them for the cost and the plastic will stand up to moderately rough handling…

While the concept of this divider is good, its execution is a complete failure. First, there is absolutely no tension to hold the two pieces of spacer together (and yes, the plastic spacer/washer is intact). I can easily align the baffle with the object, but when I can't hold it in a vise, gravity just takes over and the baffle closes or opens. It is easy to use. However, it was three seconds before he realized he needed an improvement. First, and most obviously, the relationship is untagged. Second, you need a lock. The hinge is so loose that a simple deviation from the original measurement can alter the device. This makes it practically unusable. But if you're careful, it's about normal.
