Inexpensive proportional divider for occasional use
This is an inexpensive divider for occasional use. They are made of semi-rigid plastic with three pivots and clips. Separators must be used carefully, since the lack of friction makes it easy to change the position of the levers. (I put a piece of tape between the legs to avoid accidental changes.) I use them with one hand and often have to check to see if the measurement changes as I transfer. I would only recommend them for the cost and the plastic will stand up to moderately rough handling and use.
