Good tool but works intermittently

This was my first nailer. Where have you been all my life!? MUCH easier than a hammer in most places. Works in a place where neither a hammer nor a screwdriver can be found. Nice size and good performance - about a third of the time. The rest of the time it vibrates and sounds like a two-stroke engine. I took it apart, inspected and lubricated (with the right lube) everything looked fine. But the same results. I am assuming that manufacturing tolerances or quality control are disabled. Othersโ€ฆ

Looks used, rubber scratches and oil loss after 10 nails!

The thing came with nothing, but the rubber is dirty and scratched apparently used, I checked the hole for the bolt, there is no scratch, but it broke after 15 nails, started air and oil to let through . Maybe I'll take someone's lemon!? I've posted a replacement, will update if problems arise. Have gotten a replacement so far so good although it takes a while to drive a 3 1/2 inch nail into harder wood I am considering doing my compressor too (I have a 6 gallon compressor) and it will workโ€ฆ

Missing Components - UPDATED January 2020

*UPDATE* Although this item was missing a dust cap and oil, I have upgraded my rating to 4 stars. This worked very well with galvanized nails in PT wood. For the price you really can't beat it. I had a few issues with this early on when I was learning to use it (particularly from under pressure when connecting the tool to the air hose - my fault). Overall it did the job I needed for a low price. I would also recommend using ear protection when using this tool as it is quite noisy. Keep itโ€ฆ
