🚀 Ritchie Pump Drive Coupling for Yellow Jacket 93047 Review

My original vacuum pump clutch has finally come apart. It was a quality and quick exchange, the exchange took about 20 minutes! Now he's back in action.

This unit fixed my Yellow Jacket vacuum pump and is a real Love Joy clutch! The only thing I didn't do was plumb the clutch, the pump was frozen, but the motor's thermal overload would hold it for sure. This is a much better connection than the Lexan unit that came with the unit.

Yellow Jacket is a good product BUT a vacuum pump repair will normally require both parts shown. Unfortunately what comes is a one piece so I returned it and used a less expensive one piece plastic bushing that fits either end of the drive. I would have preferred Yellow Jacket's metal cases, but the plastic cases last a few years.

Shop this updated piece in the yellow jacket. The original part (same part number) is a plastic/rubber bushing that fits over two shafts. Really bad design but it's nice to see the Yellow Jacket show up and update the design at a very reasonable price. If you have a sleeve type, replace it as soon as possible. How to understand that the type of sleeve did not work? This is the quietest electric motor and the pump runs silently.

My old Yellow Jacket vacuum pump removed the existing drive coupler. The original design was rather bad. A sleeve made of plastic (or similar material) connected the motor drive to the pump drive by small protrusions on the inside of the sleeve that matched the protrusions on the actuators. Excessive heat, aging, or both caused the plastic to warp and crack, causing the vacuum pump to stop working. I was very happy to see this kit. It replaces both the drive links and the crappy plastic grommet
