Perfect for my singer. I've given up on it all these years and now I can sew better than ever! Love it!

I bought this for the Singer 4000 series as advertised. This was to replace the original part that was cracked and too loose. This piece was even weaker than my broken piece. It doesn't grip or hold the reel at all. It was a waste of money. That will be a waste of time if I have to return it and try to find something that actually works.

Another thing my kids (teens) lost (along with the pedal for my car) and I didn't think I could find a replacement. SO HAPPY to find her. And it comes with the extra that is obviously SO IMPORTANT in my life with these kids that I've fathered. They fit my Singer 5017C machine and fit snugly on the spindle which is very important for the spool holder. Ideal!

I give 5 stars because it's well made, even better than the caps that come with new machines. However, I bought this for a Kenmore machine that was about 10 years old and the center hole was too big for the spool pin; the cap just fell off. That doesn't mean it's a bad product, just that it doesn't fit all coils. I have a new Brother machine with a thicker spool pin and it fits great. I like how it fits snugly on the spool of thread.
