Should be the standard Yeti Rambler cap

This or the chug cap should be the standard cap on a Yeti Rambler bottle. A straw cap is very useful, especially when driving! No more worrying about liquid pouring out of a wide mouth, no more giant bottles blocking your vision while you drink water. I really love this thing, it's so comfortable.

  • Very impressive

Funny story for you

Funny story for you. Used this on a trip to Colorado. I assumed it was caused by the change in altitude. When I opened my straw cap the water splashed on me and I got wet all over. The next time I used it I was at home and stayed at a consistent altitude and it did the same. My advice is to open it by pointing it away from you.

  • Free for educational purposes

Total Fail for Sports & Outdoor Recreation Accessories

I have more Yeti items than I can count and have always recommended their items. I never thought they would come out with such a terrible product. When the straw is opened, the liquid is thrown out like a volcanic eruption. Trying to drink through a straw is like trying to drink Wendy's milkshake when you first get it. Hell, almost impossible. I'm sure if I finally find the time to contact the Yeti about this they will fix it, but I highly recommend staying away from this thing.

Not enough thread on the straw lid

I gave it a star because the lid comes off easily. At first I thought it was a fake cap. But after reading the reviews I realized this is a common problem. I did a little research and compared my original Yeti cap/cap to my 64oz Rambler and found that the straw cap comes off easily because it has one less thread. The original Yeit cap had at least 3 full threads, and the straw cap only has 2 for some reason, which prevents it from fully tightening or popping out when tightened. I think Yeti…

Works as advertised but needs improvement

This lid works as advertised but is missing an important feature. Any increase in pressure in the bottle will cause the liquid to slosh out through the straw when it is first opened. To use it successfully, you need to detach the top before using the straw. A simple pressure release button or a hole to drain excess liquid on a flip-up straw solves the problem, but they're not on this cap. Things will create pressure that will make a mess when you flip the straw.

  • Alright!

Great Yeti Bottle Cap

This is a great Yeti bottle cap - much more convenient than unscrewing a standard cap to sip from a bottle (and a little thinner for use in meetings at work). Also great in the car - no fear of splashes. As a bonus, two straws are included in the lid. So if you have two different sized bottles (like mine) you can use the cap from both by substituting the straw. small pressure valve. I NEVER had that. I always use cold filtered water (no ice) and have never seen any indication of a problem.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

For the price of almost $20, the consumer should expect a lot more from this top and Yeti. There are 3 problems with this cover. First, drinking from this cap requires more force than necessary due to the poor flow rate through the mouthpiece. Second, the low flow rate requires suction at the mouthpiece, making the sound similar to a bicycle brake squeal. Finally, there is a non-adjustable handle that can be pressed against the nose/face when drinking from the bottle. Several times I have found

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Don't let the negative reviews put you off ordering

I was a little apprehensive about a few negative reviews about it but decided not to use my 36oz Yetti bottle as it was quite a pain to take the cap off the drink. Almost anything would be an improvement at this stage. I had it for several hours, it was easy to clean, very easy to cut the straw to the right length for my bottle and very easy to use. My 1 year old can suck water through it so the straw and suction needed to pump out the water is adequate. It also doesn't leak when turned upside…

Does not meet Yeti standards

I am an avid Yeti fan and own many items from each line. However, I am very disappointed that this straw cap leaks quite badly. As you drink, the drink will come out of the base of the straw, run down the yeti and drip onto you. I've been very careful to keep the straw fully open and I don't drink fizzy drinks or anything else that might cause problems. Just regular water and Gatorade. Another big problem is that if you open it after a while, causing a drop in pressure, your drink will shoot…
