I'd Rather Have a $10 Soldering Iron

With this soldering iron, you never know when you'll have enough heat to melt the solder. It's not just about waiting for things to get hot; In fact, it seems that the longer the iron is left on, the worse it gets. I've used this soldering iron to solder about 12 different wires and every time I use it I have to sit and wait and wonder when the solder is going to melt. Sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes a minute. Setting the temperature higher or lower doesn't seem to make a difference. Do not buy

Rubbish from the 1st

Ready to use. this thing sucks. I expected the little "auxiliary" clamps to suck, and they do because the handles just hang around, but I really didn't expect the soldering iron itself to be as bad as it is. Instead of controlling the temperature, they should call it "desired temperature" or "suggested temperature" because that's not the temperature you get, at least when you want it. There are moments when it heats up just when you need it, but you'll have to act fast because that sweet, sweet
