I had a 60ft Ghost cable and desperately needed a DB25-DB25 serpentine for a recording session. I have tried other DB25 screw mounting options but this closed version seemed much more reliable for studio use and I even managed to use the case to lighten the cable a bit. I needed to add a DB 25 connector to a ham radio with only 2 connectors! That fits, although it seems like too much for two connections. Nice and tidy with no problems.

Works very well. It's a bit bigger than I would like, but that's to be expected and the dimensions are clearly stated. I knew I would be changing/rewiring and wanted to avoid soldering. It was the answer. Due to the length of the box and the limited space I was working in, I had to use a regular solder connector on the other end. This was the easiest way I could find to make a custom feedback connector - not for RS-232 but for a other application that requires specific pins to be connected, but the presence of a small flat-blade screwdriver made it easy to install the four connectors, taking less than five minutes from opening the box to plugging it into the device.

DB25 field splice connector arrived with bent and loose pins. I can't trust this connector too much. Pretty cheaply made. I think you get what you pay for.
