🔧 Yost Tools 406 D Forged C Clamp: The Ultimate Clamp for Heavy-Duty Projects Review

I have already bought a few "Yost" clamps. I've been happy with their value for money in the past. That being said the last 2 clamps I just ordered came without the black oxide coating on the acme threads. I only have a steel thread. It is not what is described, it is not what I have received in the past with the same SKU and should not be advertised that way unless you can expect it. The photos of the clamp show a black oxide coating, moreover it is mentioned more than once in the description.

Correct part number is 404-Y, attached pictures are what you will receive. Also, the black oxide finish was recently changed to zinc, so you only get black if you find new old stock anywhere. Yost ran out of 4" black oxide, but did have some 6" and 8" black oxide. The offer and product data must be updated for these two items. These are very good, strong and rigid clamps. I bought two of the four inch clips. I expected them to be decent but cheap. At $14 these clips are a great buy! They're heavy duty, the smaller 4" still have the huge Acme threaded bolt that the larger ones have, and they're nice and strong. I bought two really cheap Chinese C-bolts a while back with very fine threads and overall they were they just suck, both had the plate broken off at the top of the bolt because it was a cheap piece of china tin, I also have an old 1990's Craftsman C-clamp…
