Great design. The only downside is that the posts are slightly larger than the 3/4" bench holes. This creates a problem that is quite annoying. The fit is too "tight" to the point where it doesn't fit.

The 3/4 inch stand fits neatly into the holes in my workbench. -used holes. 1/4" sheet steel is the definition of "durable". In my wood shop it never wears out. The only possible damage to the dog may be rust or a router bit. Obviously a steel dog doesn't work well with sharp planers. The low 1/4" profile is sufficient for most planing jobs.
