Doesn't work out of the box.

This device does not work. I followed all the instructions but the percentage doesn't show up at all. Just sits there, gets hot and then doesn't show it's done. Will return.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • May cause injury

The tool you need when using m.2

works very well with some m.2 (no sand disc) all others work well (Samsung, Western Digital etc.). No issues with setup, got it running and formatted by Win 10 Pro, then copied from the smaller m.2 to the larger one using an offline copy.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Good product! good for hard drive accessories

This unit worked perfectly. I would recommend leaving the cover on during data transfer to minimize heat build-up. All PCI Express flash drives generate a lot of heat, unlike hard drives.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Negative present

Duplicated drive as stated

The instructions are a little lacking, but if you're familiar with replacing one of these in a laptop you should be fine. To create an extended volume, you need to use Disk Manager and remove some partitions so that the unallocated space can be merged. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't try, the cover screw is very small, be careful!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No paint required

Works as advertised but gets very hot even when not actively using it

One thing that isn't entirely clear from the information listed for this article is that it's entirely possible that a single PCIe M.2 drive to this device and connect it to computer via SSD, and then clone PC hard drive to SSD in device with other software (e.g. free version of AOMEI Partition Manager). A drive on this device appears as another drive on the computer. USB cable included - CC. Since my PC doesn't have a Type-C USB port, I used a USB 3.0 AC cable (the same type you might already…

Works perfectly! for computer accessories and peripherals

Super fast and always a good clone! I'm willing to give five stars for tech support because it's not necessary! Read the warnings, the case will burn your hand after you unplug it and let it cool for a minute. I didn't have to format or initialize a drive first, just mount it after cloning and expand it to a new size! I don't need to use this one plugged into the computer to clone ours as external, 1005 is worth the money for what it did for me backup and fill m.2 SSD operating system, I'll buy

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Better heating than cloning.

Sometimes only clones. It's inconsistent, which often results in doing nothing but getting very hot. Plain drives without encryption seem to work. And because it's so new, there's little information or support for it.

Pros
  • Fast change
Cons
  • Periodicity

Works perfectly! good for computers and accessories

I bought a new laptop with a 256GB M.2 drive and wanted to upgrade to 1TB M.2. I bought this device to clone it and also as an IT consultant I expect to have to do this more often for clients in the future. The disk was cloned perfectly and it was very fast, 5 or 10 minutes max. The new CD booted immediately with no problems. A 256GB partition was created as expected, so I just created a new one with the rest of the space. Please note that you need to format the destination drive first. To do…

The product does not work.

The unit gets EXTREMELY HOT (I nearly burned myself from the case getting so hot. I ended up unplugging it and putting a large fan in front of it to blow it about 10- 15 minutes to cool down) and then cannot be cloned. It ended up burning a new m.2 drive that I cloned. Also, instead of providing screws and places to screw them in, you get these tiny rubber pads that you have to push into tiny holes. It's very fiddly and I popped them out more than once before finally pushing them in with a tiny
