🍞 Youngever Plastic Bread Container - Bread Storage Bin for Countertop, Bread Box for Optimal Organization and Freshness Review

This is a great bread bin. I bake bread and bagels every week and they hold up very well. It doesn't do as well for irregularly shaped breads as sourdough, however, and doesn't stick together as tightly as I'd like. The lid slides into the base and is flush but doesn't snap or anything. If knocked over even slightly everything will fall out so keep out of the reach of children/pets.

I got this in the first place because my cat got into the habit of biting my bread! I was hoping the added bonus was that it would help keep my bread fresh. This certainly helped solve the cat issue but didn't seem to affect the freshness of my bread. It doesn't close very tightly and I can't help but feel that if it closed tighter it would help in the freshness department.

The plastic is a bit thin. The lid is not tight, so no seal. That means it won't keep your bread fresh. Gaps appear on the sides when the lid is put on, the lid doesn't fit snugly. The overall dimensions are suitable for a regular bread from the store, but homemade bread in a bread machine is too high, so I bought it. It's almost useless for what it's supposed to do.

I bought 2 of these and as other reviewers have mentioned the lids are slightly curved so there is an air gap for air to enter. I tried bending it back but didn't want to break the plastic. The lids don't snap open either, but that wasn't a problem for me as I've used them in the fridge and didn't have to worry about bugs.
