The first cookie jar arrived with a lid that would not close or barely touch the neck of the jar. I sent it back and took the risk of replacing it - it's GREAT, the lid fits perfectly. I had bought matching containers from a store years ago so a cookie jar completed the set.

This is a really nice cookie jar but I had to sort through 3 of them until I found one that I could use. The first broke the lid. The second was chipped and the lid didn't fit properly so it wouldn't close. I use the 3rd but the lid doesn't seal tight on this one either but my daughter bought me the 1st jar so it's special to me and I love how it looks in my kitchen.

The glass is amazing but I cannot enjoy mine as this item came in the original packaging and not different packaging as it says HANDLING WITH CARE. The lid broke into many pieces. So take that from me and tell Revane to send it in the second box. I can't use a cookie jar AND they're sold out and they have no idea when they'll be back in stock! Thanks very much!

Very cute and exactly as pictured. The problem is that it breaks very easily. The lid doesn't close easily and the gasket doesn't seem to fit properly, rendering it unusable. The glass lid also breaks so easily that every time I close it another piece breaks off. I ended up not using it to hold anything, just for decoration so I didn't have to open and close it which sucks because I really wanted it for cookies....

This is the biggest piece of shit and I really hate to swear but the truth is the truth the lid doesn't close tight enough to stay on so go on 9 out of 10 people grab it by the lid because it's too big to wrap. the glass falls to the ground and shatters even if there is nothing in it, and it shatters on the carpet.

For the record, I don't use this for cookies. I actually have dog treats. I was looking for something rustic looking, glassy and not too small. This is not an easy task. That works great. It contains about a regular sized bag of Beggin' Strips, which I occasionally give to my dogs. It has a seal on the lid that keeps it fresh and if I ever want I can just throw in a biscuit.
