Inexpensive and served its purpose!

Bought this cable to take apart at our print shop and screw into a machine that accidentally ripped off a DB15 connector. The cable was painful to open - it was heavily shielded (good), and the quality was generally quite high. The 10 foot length was sufficient for our needs and the cable was very inexpensive. highlighted.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Problems

Repair for my Bose audio system

Just what I need for my Bose 3-2-1 Accoustimass audio system. I had to extend the link about 8 feet where I wanted to place the subwoofer. This is ideal for a 15 pin connection. I only wish it was a ribbon cable and black as that would suit the system much better.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

The plugs are a bit big but the cable works as advertised.

These cables, while durable, contain so much extra plastic that they won't fit through the Macintosh SE/30 daughter card slot. With all the pins it still works great as an AUI cable. However, I had to use a large knife to cut off the excess plastic and then sand it down with sandpaper.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

Ideal for M-Audio Omni I/O breakout box

I have a sound card with an audio breakout box that I use for my home studio, but the original cable that came with it is just one Meters long . long. Because it is an obsolete product, the company no longer makes patch cords, even longer ones. I was afraid that this product might have different internal wiring than the original one, but I decided to give it a try. It fits and works absolutely perfectly. In the attached picture you can see the new cable at the back left.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

WORKS AS DESIGNED for computers and accessories

I have a BOSE Acoustmas 5 and I have reorganized our living room. Because of this, I had to move our subwoofer to a different part of the living room. This made the ribbon cable too short. I ordered a DB15 serial extension cable to get the extra 10 feet needed to connect the ribbon cable. I was hesitant at first not sure if it would work but to my surprise it worked great. I'm enjoying my sound system again.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Perfect for M-Audio Omni I/O Breakout Box

I have a sound card with an audio breakout box that I use for my home studio, but the original cable that came with it only has three long legs. Because it is an obsolete product, the company no longer makes patch cords, even longer ones. I was afraid that this product might have different internal wiring than the original one, but I decided to give it a try. It fits and works absolutely perfectly. The perfect extension for Atari 5200 controllers!

If you are an old Atari 5200 gamer, firstly I want to say that I feel your pain, and secondly, if you want to solve the problem of the 5200 controller's absurdly short cables, this is your ideal solution. There is no lag when using the cable and all functions are intact. I would like to point out that when you connect your 5200 controller to this extension cable, the metal clip on the end of the extension cable will clip the small plastic tab on the outside of your Atari controller connector…

Pros
  • A DB15 socket
Cons
  • New competitors are here
