Keep in mind that this heat press paper is quite delicate.

ANY tape I used on this paper ripped it to pieces. I regret buying two pads. And the eraser doesn't do well either. *Edit: After using this paper exclusively for over 6 months, I've learned a few tricks to fix the ribbon issue. However, the cover liquid still tears the paper. I like to use hot press paper for my art and it's a lot cheaper than Arches.

Very smooth surface that allows the pigment to stay strong.

This is my favorite paper at the moment. One of the watercolor magazines mentioned that Bev Jozwiak uses it and that was all it took me to try. It is very smooth, absorbs a lot of water, does not warp and the paintwork stays shiny. I appreciate the strong adhesive used to keep the pad flat. It is much more reliable than other brands. When I first bought it there were only two sizes, luckily there are more options now.

Great for flat watercolor fills, but tears terribly.

I received a set of this paper in an artwork gift box and it worked very well and held watercolors well. It was easy to make good flat fills and I was able to touch up the colors easily. The only downside is that the top layer of paper tears very easily. Dipping pens will tear the top layer and cause bleeding underneath, making it cloudy and blurry. The masking liquid applied before or after applying the paint will tear the paper after it dries. It's a great paper if you paint exclusively with…
