I have gel air fresheners at home and they work well. This car pack smells nice and should last a long time. The more you peel off the foil, the stronger the smell, but the less it lingers. I got mine about 1/4 of the way. I don't smoke so this is just to give the car a fresh smell.

To use, remove the lid and then remove the foil covering the gel beads. Replace the cover and gently shake it back and forth. Then put it in a hard-to-reach place in the car. The scent is light, fresh and very pleasant. i really like it I wish it was a little stronger though. I think my family is just smellier than average.

I followed the instructions and partially removed the foil. Even on a hot day, nothing happened until I completely removed the foil. At that moment, my car smelled really fresh. It is best to place it on a flat surface so that the gel does not spill out. I had it on the floor of my car and in the trunk. Works well in both places.
