I had to replace the old straps from my awning on my van and saw it. I ordered them and saw how well made they were and put them on the tent. Having metal instead of plastic on the part that attaches to the canopy is a great idea. The material they are made of is very durable and if I had fallen, would hold up much better than what I had before.

This keeps the item looking great and lasts longer than the original part. And oddly enough, this is a problem. The strap is too thick, so when you roll up the tarpaulin, the tarpaulin may roll up crookedly. When the tent is rolled up, you can also see where the strap is because the awning sticks out. You open your box again and you see this nice, thick, durable strap and you think it's better than the original, but it doesn't work very well because it's so thick.
