Everything seems to be in order. Maybe a little better than OEM, but hard to say. Good value for money. Don't forget to rinse them first. They seem to have a lot of residue from the manufacturing process (dust and small pieces of styrofoam). I will buy and continue to use.

They work great in my Fluval 405. I used to wash the nasty sticky foam pads and reuse them a few times before throwing them away but how much cheaper are they and how seldom I have to change filters no longer bothers me. I have bought them several times and will continue to do so as long as they are available and my old Fluval works.

I had to make sure they worked the same as the Fluval brand which was unavailable for weeks before I left a review. I use them in underwater goldfish pond filters. At this time of year, with the advent of heat, they need to be changed more often. Remove them from the hose every other day, but they still need to be replaced more often in the summer. Very happy with them!

I will not name names except for. We started with a small tank, over the years we've increased it to 5 tanks. They cost about $1 each, Fluval about $2.50 each. We've been using these for a year with no problems. They are the same size as Fluval and fit perfectly in the canister. Very porous foam like Fluval. They work just as well as name brand products and cost half the price. Good foam for every day. They catch coarse dirt before it gets into the inner baskets of the container.
