You need the best for heating

I use it with alligator clips to save forklifts and trucks in a fleet maintenance environment during severe Nebraska winters. I wouldn't have survived the winter without them.

Pros
  • 4"(10cm) x 12"(30.5cm); Heated Length 9 in. (23 cm)
Cons
  • Ugly Pack

Easy installation. Works great even on the coldest days.

These heaters are easy to install and work great. However, you drain your battery if you leave it on and the car won't start (oops). I would recommend taking built in fuses with you or using them in a dedicated protected circuit just because there is no real built in protection. EASY installation, has saved my diesel truck from gelling several times.

Pros
  • Not recommended for use above 10°C (50°F)
Cons
  • Quality

Heats up quickly on heaters

Heats up quickly and reliably. With other manufacturers, a temperature switch was installed, which switched off the heating prematurely. This one just keeps going. I suspect it will go above 150F in about 20 minutes. The only issue worth noting is that the velcro doesn't hold the heater as tightly to the filter as it once slipped off. Maybe my filter is too small for this heater. I added a separate elastic velcro to solve this problem.

Pros
  • Use only with metal filter
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
