Don't worry about cord insertion and extraction tools

The head just needs to be screwed into your cord which is sometimes impractical when you want to use your own cord for the magnet extractor plus the main head is large. You have to dig a big hole in the fairway to get it out. Don't worry, it took about 3 weeks.

Not practical at all

This product is not practical at all, we always use this solution for wall fishing when we can't use our line or rods, especially in highly insulated walls. I couldn't even catch a successful fish on the wall with this tool. Not recommended!

An annoying mistake! good for cord insertion and extraction tools

Overall not bad but there is a major annoyance. Why ship it in a beautiful metal box that DOESN'T FIT ALL THE PARTS! The metal container is only big enough for the magnets and doesn't have room for the coil guide. This is an idiotic design. Everything should fit in a suitcase Good product, but nobody thinks about it. Look for other options that keep everything together.

Fish Tape Wire Magnet

Just received yesterday. It came as planned. I tried using it to run wires through the ceiling. I hooked the rope and used the larger magnet to get through the ceiling, which was only 14 feet wide. Unfortunately, I lost the magnet again and again at a snail's pace. Drywall sheet 1/2 inch. I ended up going to Home Depot and buying spools of wire. It took 5 minutes. I'm sorry but I will send it back.

Mandatory equipment! suitable for electrics

Managed to pull the rope under about 25 feet of carpet. I thought of just pulling the rug, but I was able to pull the cord right under the rug. Found it quite satisfying! Rzhunimagu! I had a contest with my son as to who could pull/stretch him the farthest under the 25ft mats in our hallway. Definitely an art once you get the hang of it. The magnets are very strong! Pretty easy to use. Thanks Kevin

does not work as advertised

I thought this tool would be very useful but it is not. It's a great idea on paper, but it doesn't solve some of the real-world problems it sees. Once the magnet is placed where you are going to use it, it will be attracted to any metal object on the wall or floor. So if it hits a nail, screw, or metal pipe (HVAC duct), it will eventually stick to it and break free from the attracting magnet. So you have to start all over again. After a dozen tries I gave up and used my fishing lines and tape…

Works as it should

Strong magnets! Smooth surfaces protect wall coverings. It's just very well made, the perfect tool for installing short sections behind drywall. I love that there are two sizes of wall mount puller - with the small one I just drilled a 5/8 hole in the back box and it still slid properly. Grabbed it from another room (alone) and dragged it 12 feet to my new outlet. The included pull rope is incredibly strong and tear resistant. By the way, I can't test the product myself, but it was shipped…
