🌡️ Aquarium Thermometer for Digital Monitoring Review

Not sucking very well - Barry stays in the jar. And the digital display shows only part of the numbers. Very disappointed.

Readings are consistently higher than my other thermometers. Not quite sure what is correct. I have to borrow a calibrated thermometer from work just to check.

I now have 4 of this type in use. The oldest has been in the water for about 4 months, pretty much +- 1 degree. Make sure you screw on the battery cover straight and tight, otherwise it will leak and ruin the device.

This is a great thermometer. I think he has accurate readings. Installation is easy, but you must ensure that the screw holding the batteries is very tight, otherwise water will get in and destroy the device. I would recommend this thermometer to anyone who has an aquarium.

I ordered 2 of these and they said degrees Celsius but they are not. I have 2 other thermometers that show temperature and these 2 that just arrived show 5 degrees. I regret the order, the money is lost, not worth returning. Be careful when ordering THIS in Celsius

So far, so good! I have it in my 37 gallon fresh water tank and it reads the temp better than my previous wired version. You get two batteries (he uses one), and in my experience these batteries last about 3-4 months before they start to get harder to read. Just remember to pull the backing as tight as you can to keep water out!

I bought it a few weeks ago, it seemed to work fine. When I increase the temperature in the aquarium, the Zoo Med digital aquarium thermometer does not increase to reflect the new temperature. I used an old glass thermometer and another digital one to confirm the temperature. Now it is almost 4 degrees below the actual temperature. I would give up and not spend the money until Zoo Med improves their quality.

The first instrument I received arrived damaged but after doing that picture delivered, the second one arrived packed and undamaged. I checked the accuracy with another instrument I had and it looks fine to within +/- 1 degree. Not what you need in a conspicuous place, but noticeable enough. I could do without ads, but this guy without a remote sensor is hard to find.
