    My turtle loves these

    Great food for growing turtles! I have two red stud earrings, both are 5 years old and love them! These pellets are quite large if you look at your thumbnail you will see it is about 1/4 the size so I would not recommend it for young turtles as they will suffocate if swallowed whole. However, pellets left in the tank for more than a day will cause your tank to smell and leave a greasy residue. So remove leftover food after your turtles have eaten.

    My turtle is probably about 7 inches tall and loves this food. He makes a bit more mess with these balls than with the longer pellets we've used, but his aquarium mates, rose eaters and crayfish are happy to clean up after him. My son's smaller turtles (4 and 5 inches) don't do as well on this food but they are learning. I really like that it costs a lot less than the brands we can get at Walmart, especially as the turtles get bigger and need more food, and the convenience of free home delivery

    Growth formula is good for RES

    I have two adult female RES and one young male RES. The former are in a 75 gallon tank and the latter in a 30 liter tank. I have been taking care of red-eared sliders for almost 9 years. After years of tedious feeding with Reptomin sticks, I've had great results with Zoo Med. Even though my eldest is 14 years old, I feed *all* my turtles Growth Formula. While they eat larger Maintenance Formula pellets, they are messier and generate more waste after digestion, meaning they contain more fillers.

    I don't have a turtle. I use it to raise chicks. It comes in several sizes, even for the smallest children, it keeps its shape when wet so the feathers don't get sticky like pie, and it can be fed with fingers, tweezers or a toothpick (very gently). .     Great food for turtles, just feed them in a separate bowl!

    I've been using this turtle food for over a year for my two turtles and they love it. Other commenters feed their turtles right in the aquarium and have water pollution issues. If you want to reduce the frequency of tank cleaning, purchase a clear plastic container and feed the turtles in that container for 20-30 minutes. When they're done eating, put them back in the tank and empty the dirty water down the sink. So I feed my 2 year old turtles every other day/every other day and only have to…
