Great product idea. I wish it had a more substantial feel, and even more wish it had a grippy texture. It's slick plastic that doesn't hold up well in a standard plastic mic clip. Luckily that's easily fixed with duct tape, but I'd rather not do that. Maybe pairing it with a rubber mic clip would be a better solution. I bought a standard Shure mic clip and they don't work well together without some tape.

I got one first with my H4n and then the other with my H6. I think this is one of the greatest inventions in audio/video accessories. The ability to "convert" a mic stand into a camera tripod is very useful, especially as most mic stands tend to take up less space than tripods. I love the design of these things, so simple yet so effective. I'm surprised I've never seen another company do something like this, but even if they did, I'd probably still buy the Zoom brand.

I wanted to mount my Zoom H1 on a boom mic stand for some solo recording, so I bought this. It was a very loose fit with all the mic heads I've had and I had a bit of a hard time getting it securely in place so I could position it exactly how I wanted it. But I was able to buy a spring-loaded mic head that solved this problem. I know I use it with my Rode Video MicGo but I had to buy an adapter to get it to fit properly.
