Great item for small electronics projects and CCTV applications. Total Size : 24.5 x 21 x 11mm / 0.96 x 0.83x 0.43 inch (L*L*H). Connector Size - 5.5 x 2.1mm/0.22 x 0.08 inch (Ex. Dia.x In.Dia.). Solder to the solder terminals and connect a DC Barrel plug into the end. You can easily exchange the 5.5mm connector with a longer connector if needed.

cheap but good for cables and connections

Now I'm not an electronics specialist, I just bought them to make Y-cables to power guitar pedals. They are perfect for what I needed to just solder together. I zipped the case up as it only stays closed with a small elastic band which seems normal but just in case I did.

Fun fact: Cables and connections

Semi-easy assembly IF YOU KNOW SOLDERING. solid quality I used an effects pedal power supply and also upgraded all of my straight end connections on every cable I had. They've been going strong for 6 months now. Check the polarity before soldering!

They work, but they're thick.

They do what they're supposed to, but be aware they're bulky. I have used them in a guitar pedal power supply (Walrus Audio Phoenix) and their size makes it difficult to connect them side by side. Kubiconn makes a similar product that appears to be slightly smaller. YMMV

Interesting Barrel Connector Placement Method

These 90 degree 2.1mm BARREL connectors use the clamshell body method. These shells are held closed by a small rubber grommet (included) that fits over the wired end of the case. I recommend using 1/2" heat shrink tubing to more permanently close these shells: don't overheat the plastic in the process. By the way: If necessary, you can easily replace the 5.5 mm plug with a longer plug. .
