This is my 3rd bottle opener and the first 2 are literally worn out. This one doesn't work properly, it slips off when you put the strap on the cover. very disappointing

Not nearly as good as the real thing. Appropriate at best. You really have to tighten it to get a good grip on the jar lid. Luckily we still have one of the old ones, so it's pretty much in the kitchen. I recommend looking on ebay for one of the older ones.

Zyliss is a great brand but they've made quite a splash with this product. Once you've tightened the rubber band around the lid of the jar, there's no way to "lock" it. Thus, it is not possible to keep the handle under tension, rotate the can and at the same time prevent the belt from slipping.

Difficult to work with - the base/lock has no lock and rotates easily and freely. Therefore you need to squeeze both parts together very hard (so as not to unwrap) and then twist. It appears to require more manual grip than the lid itself. Would return if not from Revain UK. By the way, it's made in China.

A friend got me another can opener for Christmas and it worked for most things, but not for very small (or big) things despite my best efforts. However, this thing fits the largest jars and smallest lids (think cream jars) that my arthritis-little hands couldn't open before. It adjusts easily and the handle is long enough to really give you the leverage you need for some things. I definitely recommend it

Although it got some good reviews I haven't had much luck with it. You twist the handle to pull the strap around the lid you're trying to open, which is a good idea, but it wasn't until the second use that the strap broke right out of the handle, rendering it unusable. The plastic itself seems quite brittle to say that if the strap hadn't snapped you could have easily snapped the handle without applying much pressure.

I need to add a rubber band between the tape and the lid of the jar to hold it firmly in place. Believe it or not sometimes it's better to just use a thick rubber band and my hands work better than that. I had high hopes for this and wouldn't recommend it unless you find out how to use this product could improve with a more rubbery band that can grip the lid of the jar…

I have bad thumb joints and have trouble opening cans and bottles like Gatorade. This tool works very well with different size caps and the adjustable rubber strap holds up well. I use a flat jar opener with a sticky web to hold the jar or bottle with one hand and this tool on the lid with the other. Then I have the torque to turn almost any stuck cap. I've tried this and it worked on the smallest bottles like screw top wine bottles and 1 inch diameter lemon juice bottles. I am buying this…

Pretty good. The previous version was more technically advanced, but could have been a bit better and could have been screwed more firmly onto the lid. This rotates faster, but then has to be tightened with more momentum to hold it. I'm a little worried about the plasticity of this. It works great, although I bought a second one to hold the jar in addition to the lid (they should be in opposite directions).
