Latency issues are most effective with routers

Was difficult to install. At first it seemed to work quite well. A few weeks later, lag issues started to appear. In order to reboot the router I had to unplug all ethernet cables from the ports. Contacted the company about the delay and they issued an RMA but wanted me to pay for shipping to them. waste of money.

Pros
  • WPS for quick and easy wireless security setup
Cons
  • Something is wrong

NO SPEED AFTER A SHORT TIME - this is just rubbish

I don't normally review products - I just contact them directly to the vendor, but this product is so bad I didn't want anyone else to be stuck with the issues we were having and out of pocket. We have deployed these routers in small parks or industrial buildings where customers would typically sit in the same room as the router. The device works fine from a couple of days to a week, then the speed drops to zero even with direct connection of TV boxes. Power cycling usually fixes this, but not…

  • Two 5dBi omni antennas boost wireless signals for wider coverage and more stable data transmission
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Used as media hub

tldr; Used as a 4 port wireless switch, initial setup was difficult, works well. I have some old media devices that only have wired network ports, but there is no easy way to connect a network cable from the switch to the device. So I configured it to work as a wireless client, which basically makes it a 4-port wireless switch. The initial configuration was a bit painful, but when I finally got into client mode, it connected to my Ubiquiti AP Lite with no issues. I have two devices connected to

Versatility at a great price

Zyxel packs a lot of features into a small package at a reasonable price. The documentation was clear and detailed, explaining the features and step by step to integrate the device into my network to increase my LAN and Wi-Fi coverage at a fraction of the cost of the Xfinity and Google Wi-Fi modules to expand.

Pros
  • 802.11N compliant with data rates up to 300Mbps*
Cons
  • So far so good
