This can be installed either left-hand or right-hand orientation for the diverter handle. It is made from solid brass and it comes with extra rubber washers which were needed due to rubber washers wearing out on my old shower head. The diverter handle moves smoothly and diverts water smoothly as well. In the full down 0° position, water is 100% flowing from shower head, no leaks from handheld. At 90° Rotation, water is 50/50 shower head and handheld, and from 0° to 90° the water pressure is diverted smoothly, so you can have low pressure flowing from the handheld if you’d like. At 180° it is 100% handheld, no leaks from shower head. Smooth handle operation through all 180° of rotation and it is NOT a low flow fixture so you get great water pressure from both shower heads while in use. Extremely happy with this purchase.
