Review on Shop Fox W1741S 8-Inch Jointer With Spiral Cutterhead by Blake Clemons

Have not had a chance to use it a great deal, but so far I really like it. I bought it to replace an older, shorter bed, Grizzly 6" jointer. As far as I am concerned, a long bed makes all of the difference in getting a truely straight edge. I didn't really need the 8" width but the long bed is a must. The spiral cutterhead is great because the blades don't have to be adjusted.It takes longer to put it together than suggested, but I didn't run into any problems with any of the parts. I followed the instructions and worked meticulously to make sure everything was adjusted perfectly. So, that was part of why it took longer, but I enjoyed the process and didn't mind the time spent.
