I was skeptical when I ordered them but was surprised at how well they worked with my .22 LR rifles (Walter PPK/S; Berretta 70S; Ruger 22/45 Lite and 3 Ruger 10/22s ) . For my application which is to dry out a fire for storage between trips they work well. Now, as they say, they do not work well when dry-shooting again, for example, with a full magazine. The ribbed design makes it difficult to load into the magazine. It works (to an extent) but they are better suited for one time loading/firing after cleaning before putting the gun in the safe, which is what I needed. Much cheaper than branded baseball caps sold everywhere. Great offer.
