Wood core, plastic surface

So far, so good. Only been a few days. Some complain about this not being a wooden seat. If one reads the description, it's a wood CORE with polypropylene surface. Had some trouble installing the rubberized gaskets between the hinges and toilet surface. They were a little warped, no doubt from the molding and would not stay inserted so I could flip the seat and install. Had to use some scotch tape to hold them fully against the hinges, then slip the tape out after lightly tightening the hinge…

Good quality product, easy to install

For the price, this toilet seat can't be beat. I ordered the White (not Crane White) and it matches perfectly. It came with the plastic screws and wing nuts and they fit and tighten well. Easy to install. The seat fits the standard round bowl nicely with a very slight overhang at the front (which is good - see last photo). It's comfortable with rounded edges (unlike some others in this price range and cheaper that seem to look like they have edges that are almost 90° angles).Very well-made…

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck…it isn’t a duck

I have my throne seat value, but this is not wood. It is Sturdy and solid and it’s a chunk of plastic with some wood pulp maybe injected for some reason. I’d rather pay more for a warm wood seat. On the positive side you will feel like your at a really nice gas station.
