1. There is a backlash of the cartridge, on the old 2022. Bosch, surprisingly, is not there. Iโm not yet ready to say how critical it is for my tasks, but at least itโs not pleasant. According to the sensations, the deviation from the axis is about 1-1.5 mm. I can be wrong. I looked before buying in the store and I will say that the situation is similar.
2. The jaws of the cartridge, which is also surprising, do not close completely, which is certainly not encouraging. I haven't checked, but I think that the 1.5 drill will simply fall out.
3. The backlight is of course bright and perfectly illuminates the work area, however, the intention of the DeWalt designers regarding the time of its operation is not completely clear. It is also not clear what the purpose of the 3 modes is and why it would be simple not to make the "off" mode instead of one of them.
4. The cartridge, although metal, is tightened unevenly, it feels like it can really bite. By the way, this is being talked about on the Internet.)
5. Battery. Although the purpose of the dangling batteries is to unfasten (but this is not accurate :)) at the time of the fall, but really, to the point of indecency, they teleport strongly in the sled. Having worked with the instrument, you understand that it simply starts to unnerve. Not comfortable.
6. Under the guarantee, many write that 3 years is purely marketing, as such, this manufacturer does not have any service, did not check, I canโt download anything for sure. I hope they lie or the tool is so reliable that you donโt have to check it.
7. Everyone writes about a button with PWM and about an astronomical price (changes by node: engine + button + electronics unit), in case of a breakdown. I wonโt say anything yet, and, in general, there is little information on the Internet about the 791st. But I will say this, buying a dewalt grinder a long time ago, similarly, many wrote about the button (precisely about its non-survivability) and its price. By myself, Iโll say that I still have it alive, after constantly getting wood (working with brushes on wood) and metal dust. So I understand, judging by the reviews and the number of replacements from the same reviews, the company earns by selling the button), a joke. I'm skeptical and hope it doesn't disappoint.
