Replacement Died in Less Than Three Months - 2019

See my previous review "Dead in Less Than a Year - 2018". I would like to preface this review by saying that I really like instant hot food dispensers. I have been using ISE dispensers for over 35 years. But the quality of heating tanks has fallen sharply. I mean plastic tanks that have been sold for several (or more) years. I have no issue, really just compliments on the quality and durability of the ISE fittings and grips, just with the heating elements used in the tanks. My current tank (ISE

Barely Passed Pass

I was disappointed to see it wasn't all the details. A T-connector is not included, but I think you'll need to find the right one for your particular installation. The instructions (of which there are 4 copies) are the same for many different products so it can be cumbersome to analyze. One full page per step, but only one line is related to your current product. In my case I had to replace the water nipple after replacing the valve and as a newbie I didn't realize this was a great way to fill…

  • Convenient
Cons
  • Expensive

Another bad design for InSinkErator. A leaking pipe under the sink.

This is the third InSinkErator hot water system I've had to replace in five years. The first had a broken handle. The second just over a year ago was the HOT100 (very similar to this one) and the push button switch got stuck and we couldn't unlatch it to turn off the hot running water. The tank was still in good condition so we decided to take a chance and bought this new twist grip model to replace the HOT100 as we could still keep the old tank installed and use it. It was a mistake to trust…

wife loves it pretty easy to install

My wife always wanted one so I pulled the trigger and ordered one for Christmas. First things first - you need an electrical plug under the sink and you need a hole in the countertop (yup). We already had a dishwasher switch under the sink so the electrician added GFCI and the guy who originally installed the countertops for us drilled the hole. The plumber charged me $325 to install it, so I decided to pack up and try to install it myself. I did a great job (!) but it took me about 4-5…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
