Quality at a great price

I was impressed with the build quality, this seems like a tool I've had for a while. It worked flawlessly when used to "clone" the contents of my laptop's hard drive onto my new upgrade SSD. There are a few HDs that I will be using as well. IMHO I recommend it.

  • Decent performance

So far so good in the Computers & Accessories category

I have purchased a few of these products in the past but all have had serious problems generating their own heat and shutting down. YET they haven't done it. I'll update this review when that changes and they turn to the dark side like everyone else.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Can do harm

Can't beat the price

I used this to connect to an Atmos Ninja V-Caddy so I can download videos quickly. It was a lot easier than opening the case, unscrewing the SSD, and then plugging it into my external desktop reader. This enabled me to connect directly to the shopping cart more quickly.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Best for cable and interconnect jobs

I have an Atomos Ninja V and to upgrade my monitor or add Luts I need to use an SSD for that and with that I can do it very easy! it is stable and well made! The cord is a bit short, but I knew that from the start. Also, it works like a charm

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • Minor issues

The best at half price!

I use external SSDs for 4K @60 and @120fps. This is a bulk transfer of information. I am satisfied with this transmitter. It gets a little warm, but not as hot as some other more expensive devices. Highly recommended for its dollar bang. Please don't ask me about internal matters.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • That makes me nervous

This USB to SATA adapter is reliable, has excellent performance and works with a wide range of low-power SATA devices. I have a number of hard drives that needed organizing and this was the crucial bridge in this project. I watch movies and even boot my Raspberry Pi 4 from it. This is much faster than loading micro SD cards. I wrote this review after purchasing a second device to use with the Netgear router's Readyshare SMB feature. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

Not compatible with TRIM!

This cable has been added to my collection of non-TRIM USB SATA cables. Although I know of a manufacturer that claims to make a TRIM compatible cable, it is too long for my needs. I have yet to find a short cable like this that is TRIM compatible. What is the problem with USB to SATA cable manufacturers still making cables that are not TRIM compliant? It's 2021, not 2008. Tired of not being able to find TRIM compatible cables hence the one star rating! Edit: A few weeks after I asked if this…

One of the best SSD adapter, firmware update required for TRIM

This is a very well made adapter and probably the only one that has an aluminum body in a compact form. The aluminum body helps keep it cool if you intend to use it 24/7 like I use for my RP4. It has an RP4 (Raspberry Pi) compatible ASM1153E chipset. It comes with ASMedia firmware version 140704_A1_00_00 which does not support TRIM. You must update the firmware to version 141126_A1_EE_83 (the latest firmware for this chipset from ASMedia at the time of writing) to support TRIM. With this…
