This product upset me because my trunk lid broke open. Swapped the passenger side and thought why not swap the other side as well. Should have left it alone well enough; it's not broken, don't fix it. But how should I know? On first use, yes, you guessed it, bam; Broken. Now I have to order and wait for a replacement. Obviously from a different brand and model.

Works great. Seen YouTube videos showing how to change the spring. First make sure you remove the metal pin from the ball end. Otherwise it doesn't fit. Didn't notice and spent 30 minutes assembling the ball end. Then I saw some reviews here that mentioned a metal pin. Once the pin was removed it was easy to click. The best repair for less than $50 for your BMW F10. The dealer asked for $500 to fix it!

Installation was easy after watching the YouTube tutorials on how to do it. The trunk opens perfectly now after ignoring the problem for a few months and carefully opening it myself by pushing with my hand so it doesn't fire lol.
