Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

For professionals, this device seems to be just a plastic toy) BUT, after all, 18 105 is aimed at the general public of inexperienced amateur photographers. I am also very pleased with reviews like ā€œthe picture is very soapyā€, ā€œthe bayonet breaks off or the hood crumblesā€ As for blurring, I advise you to turn the camera for at least an hour and a half, and find the ā€œSharpnessā€ item in the shooting mode section. And then some unfortunate craftsmen, not having time to figure out the camerasā€¦

Pros
  • A very attractive price, which allows the masses to actively choose this lens. Versatile FR range, wide-angle 18mm allows you to fit all the important objects into the frame, and telephoto 105mm will reach the farthest targets. Yes, of course, this is not 55,300, but nevertheless, a beginner does not need more. Weight and compactness, it is very convenient to use in a reportage or travel shooting. Not bad autofocus. When I bought it, I thought it would be worse.
Cons
  • Plastic mount - many say that this is the fattest minus that crosses out the equally important advantages of this lens, but let's take a look at the price . I hope it's clear why they made it the way it is?) Oh yes, and of course a plastic hood . well, with a neat handling, it will last long enough, until you realize that you have switched to an amateur or semi-professional level. At this time, you will already acquire a whole set of lenses, but you wonā€™t even remember these little things)))

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

Whoever writes here about the shortcomings of this Nikkor, it is still the best offer to start, given its cost. The lens is very specific - it shows itself perfectly on the street or in rooms with large windows during the day. It is categorically not suitable for shooting indoors with evening lighting - to synchronize the backlight from an external flash and your own lighting of the environment, while achieving the correct exposure is very difficult, and sometimes impossible. Often he lacksā€¦

Pros
  • Just a very good lens.
Cons
  • perhaps the only objective (from the word object) drawback is its plastic mount.

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

Reading the reviews on some lens, I involuntarily wondered - how can it be that some citizens are completely delighted, while others scold? It is clear that people are different, and tastes are different, but not so much. And so I encountered. I happened to feel two 18-105s during the week. Both are used but without claims, both are from the D90 whale, both are from Thailand, both are with factory settings, both have expensive UV filters from the store, the lenses are clean, they were usedā€¦

Pros
  • -image quality, excellent sharpness over the entire range of focal lengths (see comment); - good and most demanded range of focal lengths - workmanship is excellent, despite the plastic mount -I liked the zoom mechanics - everything is smooth without jerks and backlash - fast confident focusing, good stabilizer performance - the ability to bring the focus manually when auto focus is wrong, it rarely makes mistakes, but try to shoot a black cat in a dark room :) - a considerable size of the lens gives not only solidity, but also the convenience of using the camera
Cons
  • Apparently, lenses of different quality come across, which is why there are a lot of polar reviews.

Nothing ordinary, a normal product.

At one time I dreamed of replacing my 18-55 with this lens . and thank God I didnā€™t take it! They let me use it for a while and it was compared with 18-55 . There is no difference in the picture! And this is for a lens that is 7-10 thousand more expensive than 18-55, depending on the store! I wrote pluses, but I think that they do not justify such money in any way. It is better to look for some other glass, albeit a little more expensive, for example, Tamron 24-75 2.8

Pros
  • Good design: 1 Front lens does not move when focusing 2 The focus ring is quite comfortable and has a good power reserve 3 pretty versatile focal range
Cons
  • 1 Dark 2 Plastic bayonet 3 The quality of the picture is no different from 18-55, so as not to be unfounded, here is the archive shooting from a tripod and under equal conditions http://file. Qip. Ru/file/V9jOfhfV/%D0%A2%D0%B5%D1% 81%D1%82_18-105_%D0%B8_18-55. Html

Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

There are wonderful photos on the Internet taken with such a lens, but apparently I came across an unsuccessful copy. An ordinary, not outstanding lens, and not cheap. Since this is almost a 6x zoom, you should not expect aperture from it, so I did not indicate the aperture in the shortcomings. Plastic mount - here to each his own. I accept it as it is. I got it in a kit with the D7000. Year tried to make friends with him. It didn't work out. Photos at the soapy level. No sharpness, no colorā€¦

Pros
  • Universal set of focal lengths. Stabilizer. Fixed front lens. Quiet. Nothing moves under its own weight. Light.
Cons
  • Specifically for my copy, I soaped it and did not always get into focus. Color rendition.

I exchanged Nikkor 28-200 AF-D for 18-105, due to the need for AF when shooting video, it is enough for me for video, but the lens is not very suitable for photography, especially in dark rooms, only flash saves. I use an external microphone paired with a Nikon d7000 + to record video, there is no motor noise in such a pair. Still, Nikon's AF-S lenses are very good. expensive, screwdriver 28-200 AF-D (and the quality of their pictures is at a different level) cost me 4500 BU, and 18-105 atā€¦

Pros
  • A good stub, relatively inexpensive. A small minimum AF distance (before it was 28-200 AF-D, after it it is extremely convenient) good colors
Cons
  • Detortion on small and large FR (you can treat FS, but my camera corrects it by itself (Nikon D7000)) Plastic mount (although with this weight of glass there is not much difference) AF motor makes noise when recording video Dark (saves the stub) Sharpness from about 6.3-7.1 Washes the background very poorly (not suitable for portraits)

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

For those who are too lazy to read: itā€™s cooler than the standard kit 18-55 and if you have money, itā€™s better not to regret it, you will get to a different level both technically and externally, thatā€™s all . This lens is made for those who donā€™t want to mess with 18-55. Sellers can powder their brains for those who do not understand and are faced with the choice of a 1 by 1 lens for the first time, because 18-55 is the same as 18-105, only this is a recalculation for the crop factor (Iā€¦

Pros
  • Sharp enough - probably not worse or better than analogues. In the corners it behaves better than 18-55 at times, which serves as an argument in favor of buying as the first instead of the common 18-55. The thread of the filters is a little wider than necessary - wind it up whatever you want (for 18mm, a simple protective UV and polarizer does not create vignetting - the frame is wide). Included is a normal plastic petal hood with its own (not threaded) mount + there is a pouch. In autofocus mode, you can twist the ring at any time. 18mm is wide enough for an amateur not to think about additional width: I photographed a clearing vertically almost from my own feet to the horizon and got a little sky, 105 also noticeably zooms in and blurs - this means that you can only take this lens on a long journey. Who cares - looks convincing and solid. Pleasant to the touch, runs quietly, no louder than most of the motor, which had to be seen on the street. Shoot flowers and buds in spring (for example) close at 105mm and f5.6 - a very peculiar soft blur of the background and there is one frame where there is an impression that a spot of blur wraps around sharp lines as if through a watery eye - a rarity among optics, although not clearly expressed. Iā€™ll tell you one more little secret: go out to the embankment at night and take a picture of the ubiquitous Kremlin at f22 aperture from a tripod or put your briefcase on a stone (youā€™ll smear it with your hands anyway) - all the lights will turn into stars with rays - those who have a smaller limit of f16 stars, and you will have obvious and most importantly natural. At 105mm, the aperture limit is generally f36.
Cons
  • The first thing to worry about is the price. Sharply different from 18-55. I think it should cost around 8.000-10.000 but not 12.000 as the average price. F5 is already at 50mm. The prefix ED is pure marketing - do not pay attention to it, the color, in principle, is the same as that of the younger brothers of digital compacts. For example, I dealt with the Nikon 24-85mm f / 2.8-4D IF AF, which tears everyone in color reproduction even without the ED prefix, and did not become a particularly leader in sharpness either. In this case, as I understand it, they inserted a low-dispersion ED glass only for the inscription. There is enough distortion in the corners not to say that this is a cool lens. The stabilizer works, but the first time the difference between ON and OFF is not visible, I have seen better stubs and 18-55 is not better. If possible, I advise you to turn it off and turn it on only if necessary, for example, in cloudy weather, because. stub is another reason to reduce sharpness in sunny weather. Often, unsecured pros do not have lenses with a stub and only rarely think about it on the body of lenses.

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

This is already my 7 or 8 such lens, and finally I got a very decent one, without back and front and with good micro-contrast and fast autofocus. Bought in the secondary market for everyday dragging. The picture is equal in sharpness to the whale 18-55, but the collapse of the focal lengths allows you to make at least some bokeh, and itā€™s more convenient. The stabilizer is very good. I bought and sold them many times, and finally got a good one. Why such a collapse in quality, it is not clear ?

Pros
  • Decent lens for matrices no more than 14 megapixels
Cons
  • At such a price, why stick them out, of course they are.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality item, not what it needs.

I used this kit and 16-85 lenses on the d7000. As soon as I didnā€™t shoot them, I didnā€™t go anywhere with them, and I bought both of them testing and carefully choosing. So these two lenses are inferior in sharpness to the 18-55 lens, yes, yes, the one that is several times cheaper than them! For landscapes at a wide angle (18mm), among lenses up to 15 thousand, it is better not to find 18-55. Who would not say anything, but 18-55 SHARPER! CLEAR! Tamron without stub 17-55 2.8 has a similarā€¦

Pros
  • Looks bigger and more solid than 18-55 Many consider him better than the younger whale (erroneous, at least on the d7000 camera)
Cons
  • Soaps compared to a cheaper whale Expensive for its picture quality Not light, bulky Filters are expensive for an 18-105 lens diameter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I purchased it as the main one for the D5000 bodysuit and at first it simply suited me as a given. it was possible to really appreciate its merits only after buying a 35 / 1,8 fix, which, compared to 18-105, turned out to be not a lens, but some kind of accessory (which was very upsetting, since it has a nominal maximum aperture of 1,8, itā€™s really possible to shoot only possible with 2.5). screwed on the protective UV filter, attached the cover with a fishing line (it takes about 15 minutesā€¦

Pros
  • really great lens. quite sharp, predictable and adequate distortion, without distortion. AF is accurate. I canā€™t say for HA, since the D5000 carcass neutralizes them anyway and I have never seen them on it yet. the stub is normal, at the long end it clearly holds a hangover tremor :), and it really works for a couple of stops. On vacation, I didnā€™t even have to drag a tripod. very convenient FR, from the width (and very effective - huge objects fit already from 30 meters) and to the telephoto (also sufficient for most cases). the price of 10tyr is LOW for such a lens!
Cons
  • the luminosity is clearly too small. in apartment conditions and at dusk, it is necessary to lift up more than 1000 ISO (the benefit of the camera allows you to do this). there is no lace cover (solvable, see below). heavy for the neck and the camera with him strongly nods.

The product is okay, it's not a waste of money!

I have in stock 18-55; 18-105; 55-300. Apart from zoom, there is no difference. Dark, of course. But in my D5100; And sharpness and brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature are adjusted at the processor level. In the settings, Picture Control Mode. So it's not a problem. It suits me so far. Even quite decent photos are obtained. (Profi-With expensive lenses are photoshopped). So calm down . Happy owners of this device.

Pros
  • Not great, but pretty decent for a budget lens. If the head and hands are in place.
Cons
  • Expensive of course. 7000-8000 no matter what. It lathers slightly. But if you do not enlarge the picture several times. That does not strike the eye.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

For beginners - the very thing. And if you generally took a DSLR just for yourself, sometimes you canā€™t imagine better to take a picture. I donā€™t understand at all what disadvantages it can have for beginners. Plastic mount, is something coming off somewhere? Well, excuse me, even when Iā€™m in the mountains, I donā€™t lean on lenses, like some people, and I handle equipment extremely carefully. I don't have a single scratch on my camera or lens. Although, the conditions are not always good forā€¦

Pros
  • Convenient focal, neatly assembled. Stab. Quite versatile in every way.
Cons
  • Dark (although this is not a drawback). Sometimes it suddenly lathers for no reason at all.

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

If you purchase this device in a set with a camera, i. E. at a low price (I came with the D90), and you are just mastering the world of digital SLRs, take it to work. I shot on it for a year and a half and parted with the lens only because I felt that I had grown out of it. You can shoot "from the hip" with one hand, play with the zoom without changing your position with your feet, and the readiness for shooting and weight are a good reason to carry it with a photo in a kit, like a permanentā€¦

Pros
  • Price in CHINA, accurate autofocus with stabilizer, focal length range
Cons
  • you notice as you gain experience and work with other lenses, but for those who only acquire, I would not write

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

An excellent replacement for whale 18-55. Opinions about the soapiness of the lens, in my opinion, should be attributed to the inexperience of the user or the use of the lens for other purposes. Opinions about the vacuum cleaner and vulnerabilities have nothing to do with reality - for 8 months there have been no problems. The rule "take off the lens, close it with caps and carry it in a clean case" is 100% saved. In my opinion, this is the best of what Nikon offers in the economy line.

Pros
  • Quality lens for a very reasonable price. Even the stabilizer got into this top ten. Covers the most running corners. 18-105 allows you to shoot both indoors and outdoors. Ideal for everyday carrying camera. Sharp. Fast Minimum distortion. Unlike the whale stub, it really works. Non-rotatable front lens - it is convenient to work with linear polarization filters and gradient filters.
Cons
  • A small lens hood - but you canā€™t get away with it - 18 mm is obligatory. Plastic mount (I donā€™t see anything wrong with it myself.)

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

Must choose when buying! Therefore, the reviews are different, some have frank soap, and some have a sharp one. I bought it with a whale for d7000. In the store I tested it by hand according to the calendar, I forgot to take a test ruler. I tested it at home, got it on the bzk. Fortunately, in the carcass there is a fine adjustment of the lens -5 and the focus is accurate, at 18mm and fully open f is not stable.

Pros
  • Convenient range of focal lengths, fast focusing, not a bad stub.
Cons
  • A little dark, but that's understandable what to expect for this price!

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

It is very good in its price category, I liked night shooting, background blur, landscapes, color rendition. Definitely a tripod at night. A few tips for beginners: 1-Before buying, make a table: here is my example-natural landscape=60% cityscape=10% night shot=10% macro=5% portrait=5% street photo=5% rest=5 %. Based on this, 18-105 is the best option for me. For portrait and macro (sometimes) I will buy an inexpensive fix 50mm 1.8d with a set of macro rings. 3-Do not read comparisons of zoomsā€¦

Pros
  • Good focal lengths, stabilizer, manual fine-tuning of the focus, comfortable to hold in your hands, solidly assembled, the price in a whale of 8.5 thousand is very good.
Cons
  • Small distortions at the short end - it's not critical for me, I shoot starting from 24, maybe the plastic bayonet mount will also teach me to use it carefully.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

By releasing this lens, Nikon showed that they would not force you to pay more than necessary for their products. Of course, you can say by wiping the screen of your D3 that this glass is not very bright, or find fault with sharpness, but why? Just go and buy another, for 60 thousand. If you buy your first DSLR for 10-30 thousand, but the whale lens does not suit you for some reason, then this one is one answer to seven troubles. Yes, it is worth buying instead of 18-55. But do not forget toā€¦

Pros
  • Sharp, pleasant and easy to handle, versatile, cheap.
Cons
  • Aperture. The manual focus ring has a little more free play than it should.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

I used a soap box with a 36-360 mm lens aperture, shot very decently for its size (Canon SX100IS), and thanks to its long focus, it helped me find many interesting angles. There was not enough whale on the SLR, I bought this one - even after soapy 36-360 its FR 27-158 (when converted to crop factor 1.5) is enough for most scenes! At first I looked at 55-200, but the difference between 360 and 158 is not as bright as you might think, but the versatility is on top! Here you have a shirik, here is

Pros
  • There is nothing special to compare with, so I will compare it with the whale one from D40 without a stub. Quick. Convenient - internal focusing (nothing is spinning outside), a normal focusing ring that can be twisted even in Auto without switching anything (twist if autofocus is wrong). Imet the minimum size at the minimum focal length, and not like a regular whale in the middle. Not much larger than a normal whale. Built-in motor.
Cons
  • Chromatic aberrations are more pronounced and sometimes occur even in the middle of the frame (in contrast, of course), which I have not seen in an ordinary whale. The focus ring has some idle.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

for the first experience one of the best (given the good price). but after getting acquainted with the work of other photographers on other fast lenses and full-frame carcasses, you understand - dark ! the second phase begins - the choice of a regular aperture . but that's later. at first it will look like this: http://www. Panoramio. Com/photo/24770101 http://www. Panoramio. Com/photo/24772051 http://www. Panoramio. Com/photo/24772123 http://www. Panoramio. Com/photo/24769357 http://www.

Pros
  • universal, build quality, good stub, good autofocus (even at dusk)
Cons
  • dark! but not visible at first. not enough sharpness.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my best purchase, could have found something else.

I purchased this lens only because of the wide angle, I didnā€™t need the zoom as such. I was looking for a lens for shooting mountain landscapes and had very little time and money left before the trip. I had to buy this lens because wide-angle primes were more expensive and there was no point in taking a screwdriver for the Nikon D5000. Now after the trip, this lens is carefully stored on my shelf and is waiting for the next trip to the mountains.

Pros
  • 1) Wide range of focal lengths. 2) Quite sharp and conveys colors well but with sufficient lighting. 3) There is a stabilizer. 4) With a lens hood, the lens is resistant to backlight. I even shot landscapes at dawn with the sun falling into the frame. The silhouettes of trees, grass, everything turned out to be quite contrasting and the colors were saturated. I donā€™t even know what hares look like on this lens, I have never seen them clearly defined. 5) Convenient to operate. 6) Fast autofocus.
Cons
  • 1) A plastic, vacuum cleaner construct, in the far-focus position, the lens looks more like an ugly children's spyglass made of cheap Chinese plastic, and with a hood it looks just ridiculous in my opinion. The bayonet is also plastic. With this lens, I always have the feeling that it is about to fall off or break the mount on the camera. I don't like ZUMA. 2) The lens is quite dark, there is nothing to do with it indoors or in cloudy weather without a flash. With insufficient lighting, detailing almost completely disappears in the photo, an eerie grain climbs in the shadows and, in general, the picture comes out dull and dirty. 3) The bokeh is somehow flat, not voluminous, but because of the seven aperture blades, it is also sometimes "nutty". 4) There are geometric distortions and HA, especially at a wide angle, there is vignetting from the lens hood.
