At one time I dreamed of replacing my 18-55 with this lens . and thank God I didnā€™t take it! They let me use it for a while and it was compared with 18-55 . There is no difference in the picture! I have in stock 18-55; 18-105; 55-300. Apart from zoom, there is no difference. Dark, of course. Not my best purchase, could have found something else.

I purchased this lens only because of the wide angle, I didnā€™t need the zoom as such. I was looking for a lens for shooting mountain landscapes and had very little time and money left before the trip. I had to buy this lens because wide-angle primes were more expensive and there was no point in taking a screwdriver for the Nikon D5000.
