A good thing. at IDC Electrical

They are easy to make by hand. I just connected my addon to them. I only used them on the #12 wire to help get the wires back into the box. My only complaint is that the levers sometimes open up a bit when hit with another wire. An experienced electrician will not use them all the time. Most because of the cost, but great for DIYers.

Worked great until circuit failed

I chose Wago connectors because they were compact, insanely easy and quick to install, and designed for both solid and stranded wire. And it was all true. But when one of my circuits failed (total short, overheated to neutral), the wires in that circuit became intermittent and had to be replaced. In 40 years I've never had to do this with wire nuts. So. Wagos I still use, but only in easily accessible places where the advantages (much easier to connect 5 wires) outweigh the possibility of…

Easy Peezy for Industrial Electrical

These Wire Lever Nuts work great and make it a lot easier to install multiple light fixtures with mixed wires. . This does not allow proper wiring in the electrical box and leaves a "dented" bird's nest, as can be seen in the picture. Lever nuts allow the building wires to stay in place when changed if necessary. I gave them 4 stars because I was able to get the wires out of the lever nut. Not exactly a fair pull test, I clamped the lever nut in a vise and used pliers. Sure, the plastic on a…

They are MANDATORY for anyone doing electrical work themselves.

After working on some home projects and redoing the electrical system I was a little unnerved by the need to check that various electrical connections were good, check for correct voltage, rewire, Adding connections to existing cables, and undoing and reconfiguring the cabling because I've changed my mind or need some additional tweaking. These Wagos ARE the solution to all of the above for the following reasons1. They are easy to use2. I don't have to unscrew existing cables to add additional…

They make wire nuts a lot easier and safer!

If you plan to run electrical wiring then your kit should include them. I first heard about them on Sparky's YouTube channel and bought a few to try. I've used them to wire outlets and lights in the basement of my old apartment and also when I'm rewiring the entire garage extension in my new home. I have used them extensively in place of wire nuts and will choose them every time. For flat box work they are fantastic, for enhancing old work they are amazing. The fact that they are reusable is…

After that I will never use those nasty nuts again

These little gays are just awesome. They're small and compact, and the folding system is incredibly easy to use and safe. They fit with very little mess, unlike the clumsy spinning nuts we used for what? Half a century already? I've gradually replaced these ancient relics throughout the house, effectively digging up a rat's nest of problems left by previous electricians. I started using them after some discovery, following in the footsteps of others who used them, and about 99% gave rave five…

They seem so simple to me compared to the wire nut

They are almost half the size of the original design, flat, square, while the previous design was convex-oval in shape, easier to open and manipulate With the thumb, compared to the older lever style, here the tongue is easier to lift with the thumb as it is wider. For 12 and 14 Romex in junction boxes extending the already too short hot/neutral/ground wire in the junction box and doing a new job they seem so easy to me compared to a wire nut just because you twist at least 3 per box or that…

Only twisted electricians still use wire nuts

My daughter asks "What's gray, crusty and hanging from the ceiling?" Answer: Hobby electricians. Wiring 101: Basic tools for working inside an outlet: a regular screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers, wire strippers, a utility knife, pliers, and standard wire nuts. To mount the wire like a boss, also grab a wireless driver, a #1 square bit (switch/socket screws), a #2 square bit (socket/switch terminal screws), and some 3- and 5-wire (221-413 & 221-415) lever nuts Wago. I don't buy double stranded…

I'm just a fan of high-quality devices

I didn't get them for free to test at first - I paid for them out of my own pocket and have no connection with the manufacturer WAGO or theirs subsidiaries. I will copy and paste this review to other WAGO connector pages just so you know I am not a bot or scammer. I'm just a fan of good gear. I have ordered 2, 3 and 5 wire WAGO connectors and use them extensively in my home and work projects. Very easy to use, I don't have to remember which nut color goes with which AWG, and most importantly…
