Lumi wallet - a potentially great wallet
Lumi wallet is a cross chain wallet supporting some major coins and more than one thousands ERC20 tokens. Its design is good and everything is arranged nicely. It has an internal exchange and a DApp browser which make it very interesting. However, it is not convenient if you have too many wallets and it supports USD display and English now
Pros
- - Lumi Wallet is a light wallet which it took me less than a minute to download it to my smartphone. It is suitable for a lot of devices even if their OS need to be updated
- - The wallet supports a few blockchains (Bitcoin, EOS, and Ethereum) and ERC20 tokens on Ethereum blockchain. It is so convenient for users who have two or more cryptocurrencies in the available coins/tokens list
- - The developers has integrated a swap exchange powered by Changelly to Lumi Wallet. The partnership between them is really excellent as it helps the users to get the cryptocurrencies they want on a trusted exchange and right on the wallet
- - Wallets creation process cannot be more simple as the wallet only ask the users to create a four-digit PIN code (Please remember to save mnemonic phrase or you will lose your access forever). They can recover their wallets by providing mnemonic phrase to the wallet. This is really a wallet for someone who is not so patient
- - Lumi is a Hierarchical Deterministic wallet so every transaction on the wallet will be sent by a newly generated addresses. By this, your identity will be hidden away and no one can track your transferring habbits
- - Storing, sending, and receiving digital assets using the wallet is secure and simple. Only the owners of the wallets can monitor
- - Multiple blockchain users can enjoy the DApp integrated in the wallet. The DApps are the ones listed on dapp dot com making the wallet become more interesting. Users can trade on DEX, play games or find for themselves a freelance job, etc. I really like the feature
- - The UX/UI of the wallet is very simple and effective. It is beautiful enough to make users feel comfortable
Cons
- - It may be hard for you to navigate the wallets you want to manage if you have too many of them on the dashboard. Its word font is small, there is no search bar, the coins/tokens logos are not available, and the color of cards might get you panic
- - It is very easy for users to lose their wallets if they forget to save the mnemonic phrases. No one can recover them because users are the one who control the recovery phrases
- - There is only one language available on the wallet, which is English. I think more languages will be added in the future
- - Balances can be shown in USD only. It needs to show more fiat currencies to meet the demands of users from many countries
