Review on Acer G246HL Abd 24" LED Monitor - 1920X1080, 60Hz, Tilt Adjustment by Thomas Johnson

I spend 8-10 hours Monday through Friday staring at a 19 inch screen and my laptop screen, so after 13 years I've finally decided I need to rest my eyes and buy something bigger. Since I bought this for my office and didn't get a refund, I wanted a monitor with great overall ratings and not break the bank. I knew I needed a 24 inch screen since I bought an LG Full HD IPS LED monitor (Lg 24mp57hq-p: 24 inch LED IPS Full HD class monitor) in June 2015 ) from Best Buy to use when I'm working from home on my LG monitor, but I can't justify spending that kind of money again on something else for work. When I compared this monitor to other brands, it was on par with other brands in terms of features AND matched my price points. I also have an Acer laptop for home use, so familiarizing myself with the brand also helped. Previous reviews really helped me with my purchase decision. t I will be using this monitor for gaming or video - mostly spreadsheets and documents so the graphics are perfect for my purposes. Once assembled with the stand, you can lean back and forth. The stand isn't very tall for me, but I store my monitor on a separate monitor stand, so the height with the stand attached suits my needs. I love the fact that it has VESA mounting holes. So if I want to reconfigure my desk and mount a monitor, I can do that. It's also very light, which is a plus if I decide to reconfigure my desk. As far as the monitor arrived, the outer packaging was adequate, but it didn't have any sort of padding for the product packaging, so there was definitely plenty of room in the product packaging to move around during transit. However, the monitor itself was very reliable and secure in the molded styrofoam in the product packaging, so nothing to worry about - more of an observation. My 5 year old has already decorated the outer box by pretending it was an airplane (if only I had bought it before Christmas I could have saved on gifts - LOL). This monitor came with a DVI-D to VGA cable - I only needed a VGA cable as my laptop only has a VGA port. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
