This is a really wonderful comb set. They fit my head so well when I comb my hair and they pull on my hair like plastic combs and bristle brushes. I find combs with wide teeth are also easier to detangle. I really like the Asian lettering on the handle; I should take it to the Chinese Garden next time to see if I can get a translation. One of the other ridges has a beautiful border design carved into the wood. I use the smaller beard comb to comb my cat because no one has a beard here. In fact my cat loves it and looks like the plastic comb I have for him that is made for pets. I think he likes the feel of wooden teeth against the skin more than plastic teeth. Both me and my cat like these combs very much. Combs with handles are comfortable to hold. Both have differently shaped handles so one is easier to hold than the other but not a huge difference in my opinion. This is a really lovely set, perfect as a gift for a close friend or family member. . They will also stand out on your vanity. I really love them for my hair (and my cat's fur) and will appreciate the fact that they will be used for a long, long time.
