I'm embarrassed to admit that fairly long after buying a coffee maker I realized that the hidden charcoal water filter needed to be changed regularly. That's why I bought this set of 24 replacement filters. To be honest, I'm not sure if I noticed a difference in the coffee taste after changing the filter. But at least I feel better knowing that I'm probably filtering out any debris in the water and that what I'm drinking is 'cleaner'. At just under $12 for 24 filters, they average 50 cents each, which is reasonable. Now I change them every 2 months as recommended. I would like these filters to come with little waterproof labels to stick on the filter holder to remind me when it's time to change the filter again. I also noticed after the purchase that the filter has to be changed every 2 months. With 24 filters, that means they last FOUR years. My coffee maker will probably break sooner, so this pack has more than I need.
