I bought GKCI insect repellent because I had mosquito problem near my house and couldn't enjoy my patio. I love that it's black, sleek and the perfect compact size that also has a foldable hook if you want to hang it anywhere. A full charge takes about 3 hours. I was very surprised at how long the battery lasts. I think the expected battery life will probably be a maximum of 14-15 hours. It also comes with flash. I left it on all night just to see how many critters it collected. (Remember I also bought mosquito repellent and repellent to spray on my patio so the number of bugs/mosquitoes has gone down so I wasn't expecting much action.) To my surprise he caught a large number of bugs sneaking away off my insect repellent! In addition, it is also easy to clean. You just need to make sure the charging port is completely covered before flushing. If it works on my patio I'm definitely sure it would be useful to take on a hike.
