I don't know why all these people are complaining and expecting it to 'stay on' their hair. It's a powder. This is not hair dye. It is not designed to cover large parts of the head. But what it REALLY does is work really well with little bursts or little pops of color here and there. Yes. After that, you need to wash your hands and be aware of your surroundings when applying it. It's a bit dirty. I have used sprays and they are too wet and hard. It's much better and you have more control over the app. If you don't want it on your hands, place a paper towel in the palm of your hand, place a strand of your color on it, rub the powder into your hair, and spritz. I spray mine very lightly. It comes out faster but I prefer a softer texture for my hair. I used "So Jaded". I am ordering more colors after posting this review.
