I bought this product for my mom because her best friend recommended it to her as a natural and chemical free way to color her gray roots recommended. What is surprising is that after dyeing the hair, it gives a bright red-orange color. It takes about 3-4 weeks before she has to re-dye her roots, but it really depends on how fast your hair grows. A box of 100 grams lasts 3 months just for dyeing the roots. So if you want to color all your hair, you may need an extra box if your hair is below your shoulders. It's an easy, quick, and effective way to color your hair while allowing you to do multiple tasks at home compared to a regular salon visit, which can cost anywhere from $100-$150 per visit without tips. I'm not a big fan of the smell of henna, so I suggested my mom add two drops of my lavender essential oil to the mix; then it smelled divine. PROS: ♥ Fantastic price for a nice box of henna. CONS: - Due to the poor instructions on the packaging, I recommend YouTube or searching the web for detailed instructions - Poor quality PS plastic gloves. DO NOT wash your hair, just rinse very well, then use conditioner to wet your comb and rinse again very well. Henna naturally cleanses the scalp. Although it smells awful when wet, the lavender essential oil masks the smell well.
